Hello everyone! 👋🏾
I’m excited to finally introduce myself. I’m M.L. Haven, a paranormal fantasy romance author and published poet. I’m originally from the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area but now call Charlotte, NC home. Writing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, I started with poetry in middle and high school and eventually found my way into storytelling.
I’ve always loved the supernatural, vampires, witches, werewolves, magic, and the mysteries hidden in folklore. But I also felt the Black side of these stories and traditions was often underrepresented. After reading a lot of serialized fantasy stories online, I finally said to myself: I can do this too.
So I did.
My debut novel, Whispers of a Red Moon, is the first book in The Moonborn Series, a paranormal fantasy saga centered on forbidden love, ancestral magic, and powerful bloodlines awakened beneath several mysterious types of moons.
My stories are deeply inspired by my love of the supernatural, but also influenced by ancestral magic, holistic herbs and traditions, and the belief that every myth or legend holds a piece of truth.
The book is scheduled for release on April 30th on multiple platforms, and pre-orders are available now.
